Color Throwdown 461-Boo!

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rysavy is our hostess this week and she's shared a fun, bold color combination--purple,orange, yellow, and green.

Boo! card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud- stamps from Paper Smooches
My original idea was to create something floral, but these already colored Paper Smooches images from the Halloweenies set that were sitting on my desk caught my eye.  When I realized they matched the challenge colors, I changed direction and created a Halloween themed card.  I used a purple card base to create a nighttime backdrop for my images.  After adding a curved edge "grass" panel to the bottom of the card, I positioned the images on the cardfront, using foam tape for dimension.  To fill in the nighttime sky, I used a circle die to create a yellow crescent moon, then scattered a trio of silver glitter enamel dot "stars" around it.  To finish the design, I stamped the set's "boo" sentiment in white ink, then heat embossed the word in white to pop against the dark background.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD461.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd461 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our September guestie Tammy Hershberger, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Joanne James.
